Aithris na h-aimsire: an latha as teotha ann an Alba am-bliadhna
[Derek Mac an Tòisich – neach-aithris] Halò, feasgar math dhuibh. Uill an-diugh ruig an teothachd fichead ’s a sia Celsius ann an iar-thuath na Gàidhealtachd ann an Ceann Loch Iù a’ ciallachadh gur e an latha as teotha ann an Alba a bh’ ann an-diugh. Agus airson na h-oidhche a-nochd, an sgòth mu Cheann a Deas na dùthcha gu bhith a’ dèanamh a shlighe nas fhaide siar. Agus an sgòth seo tiugh gu leòr aig amannan gus meallan adhbharachadh ann an Eàrra-Ghàidheil, ach anns an fharsaingeachd, ’s ann tioram a bhios i. Agus cha bhi i cho fuar ’s a bha i tro na h-oidhche a-raoir agus i gu bhith a’ tuiteam gu mu chòig Celsius aig a’ char as ìsle air taobh sear na dùthcha.
[Derek Mac an Tòisich – neach-aithris] A-steach chun a-màireach ma-tà agus an sgòth mu chladaichean an taobh siar gu bhith briseadh suas mean air mhean. Agus anns an fharsaingeachd, ’s ann tioram soilleir a bhios i le boillsgidhean matha grèine. Cothrom meall mu na h-Eileanan Siar ach an teothachd rud beag nas ìsle gu sònraichte air taobh sear na dùthcha ach bha naoi-deug no fichead Celsius ga ruighinn air an taobh siar ge-tà.
[Derek Mac an Tòisich – neach-aithris] Seach gu beul na h-oidhche, bidh dhà no trì meallan ann fhathast mu na h-Eileanan Siar ach anns an fharsaingeachd, ’s ann tioram a mhaireas i.
[Derek Mac an Tòisich – neach-aithris] Dihaoine a’ tòiseachadh tioram, soilleir, boillsgidhean matha grèine, ma dh’fhaodte beagan sgleò is ceò, a’ cruinneachadh mu chladaichean an taobh sear, ach fhathast an teothachd ìosal a tha seo ach aig a’ char as àirde gum b’ urrainn mu naoi-deug no fichead Celsius air an taobh siar. Oidhche mhath.
Weather report: the hottest day in Scotland this year
[Derek MacIntosh – Reporter] Hello, good afternoon to you. Well, today the temperature reached 26 degrees Celsius in the north-west of the Highlands in Kinlochewe meaning that today was the hottest in Scotland. And for the night tonight, the cloud in the north of the country will make its way further west. And this cloud is thick enough at times to create showers in Argyll, but in general, it will be dry. And it won’t be as cold as it was through the night last night and it will fall to about five Celsius at the lowest point in the east side of the country.
[Derek MacIntosh – Reporter] Into tomorrow then and the cloud around the shores of the west coasts will break up bit by bit. And in general, it will be dry, sunny with good spells of sunshine. There is a chance of rain around the Western Isles but the temperature a wee bit lower, especially on the east of the country but it will get up to about nineteen or twenty Celsius on the west, though.
[Derek MacIntosh – Reporter] Compare that to nightfall, there will be two or three showers yet around the Western Isles but in general it will remain dry.
[Derek MacIntosh – Reporter] Friday will begin dry, sunny, good spells of sunshine, perhaps a wee bit of fog and mist, gathering around the east coasts, but still at this low temperature but at the highest point could be nineteen or twenty degrees on the west coast. Good night.
