[Griogair] Bog ’s a bhrot iad, slaod às a chèile iad, lìon iad le rud blasta, no dìreach thoir glamhadh orra, blàth às an àmhainn.

Gregor’s olive and rosemary soda bread

English Beurla

[Gregor] First, I’m putting 350g brown flour in a bowl with 100g rising flour, a teaspoon of sea salt, another one of bicarbonate of soda, a full large spoon of rosemary cut up small, and 100g of black olives.

[Gregor] This will go around well.

[Gregor] Now the buttermilk, there’s 350ml poured in and mixed to a thick dough.

[Gregor] With my two palms, I’m working the dough before making six pieces out of it, each one rolled round.

[Gregor] A shake of flour goes on the tray where I’ll put the rolls.

[Gregor] I’ll cut a cross on the top of each one.

[Gregor] Into the fan oven with them and they will only be a quarter of an hour at 90 Celsius.

[Gregor] Dip them in the soup, tear them apart, fill them with something tasty, or just devour them, warm from the oven.
