An Teiche Mhòr

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Rhoda] Chuir mi seachad dà latha a’ togail taigh do na tunnagan. Uill prìosan ach canaidh sinn taigh. Dhùisg mi an-diugh ‘s chan eil ach aonan ann. Tha an triùir eile air teicheadh. ‘S feumaidh mi nis an glacadh airson an cumail a-staigh. Essential activity, tha sibh a’ faighneachd? O ‘s e. Tha iad ag ithe nam buntàta.

[Rhoda] Hi Stripey.

[Rhoda] Siuthad Gunna, come by.

[Rhoda] O uill, cha robh siud gu feum.

[Rhoda] Tha gràin agam air tunnagan.

[Rhoda] Fad sia bliadhna, tha iad air a bhith nan trioblaid.

[Rhoda] ‘S mar as trice, chan eil mi fiù ’s a faighinn uighean.

[Rhoda] Tha iad am falach orm.

[Rhoda] Duck pâté?

Theich iad a-rithist...

The Great Escape

English Beurla

[Rhoda] I spent two days building a house for the ducks. Well a prison, but we’ll say a house. I woke up this morning and there’s only one in there. The other three have escaped. And I need to catch them now to keep them in. Essential activity, you’re asking? Oh yes. They’re eating the potatoes.

[Rhoda] Hi Stripey.

[Rhoda] Go on, Gunna, come by.

[Rhoda] Oh well, that wasn’t any use.

[Rhoda] I hate ducks.

[Rhoda] For six full years they’ve been a trouble.

[Rhoda] And usually, I don’t even get eggs.

[Rhoda] They hide them from me.

[Rhoda] Duck pâté?

They escaped again...
