What’s Angus’s life like?

English Beurla

[Aonghas] Hello, I’m Angus MacLennan and I live in Cheese Bay in North Uist and I live here with Lucy.

[Aonghas] It’s good location where I am and I can see over to Oban, to Harris, and out to the West side of North Uist.

[Aonghas] Myself and my dog out tonight, I’m not sure if you can hear me or not…

[Aonghas] Here’s Lucy, hello!

[Aonghas] I like getting out to run maybe two or three times in the week and I hope that this year I’ll be ready for a marathon but I’ll see. You need to be ready for any weather and today looks like it will be rainy so you need a good jacket to keep you dry.

[Aonghas] I used to run to the end of the Loch Portain road, a distance of six miles from the house.

[Aonghas] I’m going to work in the Uist and Barra hospital in Benbecula and we’re going to be doing training for PPE.

[Aonghas] I like to listen to music on the way to work – a fantastic song!

[Aonghas] When I’m not working I put up a drone but you wouldn’t put a dog or cat out today.

[Aonghas] I like to put it up because you see new perspectives on where you are and there are definitely enough beautiful places in Uist.

[Aonghas] Bye for now!

This was recorded and transmitted before the South Uist outbreak
