Let’s have a look at how to pronounce the R and RR sounds in Gaelic.
The R sound, when it occurs at the beginning of a word, is pronounced like “rr”, and can be heard in rìgh (a king) and ròn (a seal):
This sound is also made by the double R, such as in geàrr (cut) and bàrr (top):
