An Aimsir le Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill – Neach-aithris na h-aimsir] Feasgar math dhuibh. Uill tha coltas caran caochlaideach air an t-sìde an t-seachdain-sa. Bruthadh ìosal a’ suidhe gu siar air Breatainn, a’ feuchainn ri na h-aghaidhean sìde seo a phutadh a-staigh dhan ionnsaigh aig amannan. Ach aig a’ cheart àm bruthadh àrd a’ suidhe gu Sear air Breatainn a’ feuchainn ri bacadh a chur air an uisge a tha sin agus aig a’ cheart àm cuideachd bidh i nas blàithe nan àbhaist do chuid a sgìrean airson an àm-sa den bhliadhna.

[Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill – Neach-aithris na h-aimsir] A-nochd ma-tà bidh beagan uisge mìn agus sgapte nur cuideachd mun chosta an iar. A thuilleadh air sin ge-tà bidh i na turadh, caran sgòthach do mhòran sgìrean agus i mu ochd no naoi Celsius anns an fharsaingeachd. Far am bi greisean de dh’ iarmailt shoilleir ge-tà do chuid air a’ Ghàidhealtachd, trì no ceithir Celsius aig a’ char as ìsle agus a’ ghaoth bhon earra-dheas a’ socrachadh mar a thèid an oidhche air adhart mun chosta an iar.

[Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill – Neach-aithris na h-aimsir] A-màireach, tha sinn a’ tòiseachadh le beagan uisge mìn agus sgapte mun chosta an iar, ach gu math sgiobalta, bheir an t-uisge a tha sin a chasan leis agus air cùl sin thig piseach gu mòr air an t-sìde anns na sgìrean sa. Feasgar ann am barrachd doimhneachd ma-tà, tha sinn a’ sùileachadh mun ear gum mair i caran sgòthach agus bidh smugraich uisge ann gu sònraichte air an talamh àrd, eadar 12 agus 14 Celsius le oiteagan làidir gaoithe. Mun iar ge-tà uill tha greisean grèine gu bhith ann am pailteas agus tha i gu bhith faireachdainn blàth anns a’ ghrèin, gu sònraichte tro oisean an iar-thuath. Dh’ fhaodadh gu ruig i 20 Celsius a-màireach. Tha sin a dhà uimhir cho blàth ris an àbhaist airson an àm-sa dhen bhliadhna. Gu ruige beul na h-oidhche, chan eil mòran de dh’ atharrachadh a’ tighinn air cùisean. Mairidh i caran sgòthach mun ear le smugraich uisge agus tro oidhche Mhàirt tha dùil ris an tuilleadh uisge a’ putadh a-staigh bhon iar-dheas.

[Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill – Neach-aithris na h-aimsir] Diciadain ma-tà. Anns a’ chumantas bidh i a’ tòiseachadh caran sgòthach, fliuch do mhòran sgìrean ach bu chòir beag air bheag mar a thèid an latha air adhart gun tig piseach oirre bhon iar-dheas ‘s gum faicear beagan de shoilleireachd agus grèine, 14 neo 15 Celsius, fhathast nas blàithe nan àbhaist dhan mhòr-chuid de sgìrean airson an àm-sa dhen bhliadhna.

[Kirsteen NicDhòmhnaill – Neach-aithris na h-aimsir] Agus a’ toirt sùil air adhart gu Diardaoin falbhaidh bann eile de dh’ uisge air falbh tro na h-eileanan mu thuath. Thig turadh air cùl sin.

The weather with Kirsteen MacDonald

English Beurla

[Kirsteen MacDonald – Weather Reporter] Good evening everyone. Well the weather is looking rather changeable this week. The area of low pressure west of Britain is trying to push these weather fronts in towards one another at times. But, simultaneously, the area of high pressure east of Britain is attempting to stop the rain there and at the same time, it will be warmer than normal in most areas for this time of year.

[Kirsteen MacDonald – Weather Reporter] Tonight then, those around the west coast will experience some fine, scattered rain. In addition to that though there will be a dry, somewhat cloudy spell for most areas and it will be around eight or nine Celsius in general. There will be spells of bright skies too though for most of the Highlands, three or four Celsius at the lowest as the south-west wind settles around the west coast as the night goes on.

[Kirsteen MacDonald – Weather Reporter] Tomorrow begins with some fine, scattered rain around the west coast, but this rain will disappear very quickly and after that there will be a big improvement in the weather in these areas. The afternoon in more depth then, it is expected to stay quite cloudy in the east with a fine drizzle of rain, especially on high ground, between 12 and 14 Celsius with strong gusts of wind. In the west there will be an abundance of sunny spells and it will feel warm in the sun, particularly through the north-west. It could reach 20 Celsius tomorrow. That’s twice as warm as usual for this time of year. Up until nightfall, not much will change. It will stay a bit cloudy in east with a very fine drizzle of rain and through Tuesday evening more rain is expected, pushing in from the south west.

[Kirsteen MacDonald – Weather Reporter] Wednesday then. Generally it will begin somewhat cloudy and wet for most areas but little by little, as the day goes on, there should be an improvement from the south west and some bright and sunny spells will appear, 14 or 15 Celsius, still warmer than usual for most areas at this time of year.

[Kirsteen MacDonald – Weather Reporter] And taking a look ahead to Thursday – another band of rain will disappear through to the islands in the North. A dry spell will follow.
