Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Eilidh NicAsgaill - Preseantair] Chaill trì mìle gu leth dachaigh cumhachd an ron Nollaig. Ach, tha iad uile air an cuid dealain fhaighinn air ais a-nis. Rinn Riaghaltas na h-Alba moladh an-diugh air an luchd-obrach airson na h-oidhirp a rinn iad.

[Eilidh NicAsgaill - Preseantair] Thuirt Ailig Salmond gun do rinn an luchd-einnseanairidh, luchd-obrach nam bàtaichean-aisig agus na seirbheisean-èiginn am measg eile obair ionmholta gus daoine eile a chuideachadh airson na Nollaige. Thugar dealain air ais do sheachd ceud dachaigh air na Nollaige fhèin às dèidh mar a thug na gèiltean buaidh air na loidhnichean-dealain, ach ged a bha an ìre mhath ciùin ann an-diugh tha dùil ri barrachd droch shìde a-nochd fhathast.

[Eilidh NicAsgaill - Preseantair] Chaidh rabhadh a thoirt seachad gu mair na stoirmean tron oidhche a-steach chun na maidne agus gun tuit suas ri òirleach de dh’ uisge agus gun toir a’ ghaoth buaidh air a’ mhòr-chuid de sgìrean air feadh Bhreatainn. Tha Oifis na Sìde air rabhadh buidhe a sgaoileadh airson na gaoithe airson a’ mhòr-chuid de dh’ Alba, na Gàidhealtachd agus nan Eilean, ach tha coltas ann nach bi cùisean buileach cho fiadhaich ‘s a bha i aig tòiseach na seachdaine.

Electricity was brought back to seven thousand homes on Christmas Day itself after the gales impacted on the electricity lines, but although the day was itself relatively calm today, there is more bad weather expected tonight.
