[Kirsty] Hello! It’s me again and today I’m going to show you how I make a diary.

[Kirsty] First, you need a diary, a pencil, a pen, calligraphy pens and coloured pens, a rubber, and something straight to draw lines.

[Kirsty] This is one I made last week.

[Kirsty] First, I make a box for each day of the week. This diary is a bullet journal and that means that there are wee dots so that’s good for drawing lines.

[Kirsty] I’m using a pencil at the beginning and then I can rub it out at the end.Here, I’m drawing bigger boxes this time for each day of the week.

[Kirsty] Now I’m going over everything with a normal pen. It’s good to start at the top and go down so that nothing smudges.

[Kirsty] Now I’m doing a habit tracker where I will track anything I want to keep an eye on this week for example steps, drinking water, doing exercise, going outside every day, things like that. Pick anything you want. For the largest writing, I use a calligraphy pen. Now, I’m not an expert at this handwriting at all but I’ve seen a video or two on this technique. You don’t have to do this, the good thing about a bullet journal is that you can be creative.

[Kirsty] In terms of design, I’m keeping mine very simple with straight lines and colours.

[Kirsty] Now I’m rubbing all the pencil out and ready to colour it. Pick any colour that you like but I like pink and red together right now.

[Kirsty] Here, I’m writing everything I have to do this week. In these boxes, I’m writing anything that is happening each day.

[Kirsty] And anything I have to do next week here. With the tracker, at the end of each day, I colour in the boxes if I’ve done them. If not, I leave them white. At the end, you’ll see a pattern of how you’re getting on with your different habits. Then, I put in the things that I have to do through the week on the days that I want to do them.

[Kirsty] This is where I keep an eye on how I’m getting along with the book that I’m reading,

[Kirsty] I’ve done a daily plan for each day and also I try to do things each day for my mind, for my body, for my soul, and also something productive.

[Kirsty] These are examples of different ways to do bullet journals. They’re good for being organised and also they’re good for your memory. Try it yourself! Be creative and also have fun.
