A’ togail airgead do charthannas

[Preseantair] Tha Màiri na cathraiche air carthannas a tha a’ toirt comhairle mu chùisean leatraim. Airson airgead agus ìomhaigh na seirbheis a thogail tha i air a bhith a’ cur air dòigh dinnear mhòr ann an sgoil an Inbhir Ghòrdain.

[Preseantair] Tha e a’ gabhail àite a-nochd agus feumaidh Màiri cabhag a dhèanamh!

[Màiri] Tha mi na mo mhàl. Tha mi a’ creids’ gu bheil còir agam a bhith sìos ann an sin gu seo ach tha mi rudeigin air dheireadh leis a h-uile càil a th’ ann. Bha sinn aig a’ Mhòd ionadail ann an seo an-diugh agus dìreach bho thàinig mi dhachaigh tha mi na mo ruith. Tha a-nis a h-uile càil agam deiseil. M’ cheesecake. Tha mi a’ feuchainn ri cunntadh dè na rudan a bha còir agam a thoirt leam. Agus bàrr ’s kiwi fruit, After Eights agus cheesecake. ’S tha mi a’ toirt leam tray no dhà dhen bhèicearachd a bha a chòrr bho a-raoir. ’S tha mi a’ smaoineachadh gur e sin e. Tha mi ’n dòchas gum bi gu leòr ann ri ith’ co-dhiù! Nach eil a-nis, a Mhòrag? Trobhad!

[Preseantair] Tha caraid Màiri, Mòrag, bean ministeir à Dòrnach ga cuideachadh leis an stuth.

[Màiri] Alasdair, a bheil iuchar a’ chàir agad?

[Alasdair] Tha.

[Màiri] Siuthad, fosgail e dhomh ma-thà.

[Alasdair] A bheil a h-uile càil sàbhailt’?

[Màiri] Uill cumaidh Mòrag an cheesecake na h-uchd.

[Alasdair] Agus am bàrr.

[Màiri] Agus ò aidh am bàrr and all. Seall, bha còir agams’ a bhith ann aig leth-uair an dèidh sia. Tha iad a’ fàs cleachdte rium a-nis. Tha mi an-còmhnaidh rud beag air dheireadh. Tha a’ bheatha agams’ an-dràsta a’ dol aig a hundred miles an hour! An deach mi seachad air Invergordon? Nis, ò an e siud an rathad? An deach mi seachad air? Nise, cà’ sinn a’ dol a chàirdean? An e sin town centre? ’N dùil an ann suas an seo a tha mi a’ dol? Chan ann, cha chreid mi. Thèid mi timcheall. Just in case. Bidh agam ri dhol a dh’fhaighneachd dha cuideigin! Fuirichibh ann an sin ’s faodaidh tu mo chuideachadh le rudan a thoirt a-steach! Tha mi late as usual. Seo, tha dà thub of that somewhere. Cà’ Mòrag? Trobhad leis an cheesecake.

[Preseantair] Aig an sgoil tha boireannaich a’ chomataidh trang a’ teasachadh biadh na h-oidhch’ a-nochd. Ach tha Màiri air dìochuimhneachadh òraid bean an taighe a sgrìobhadh dhi.

[Preseantair] Tha an talla a’ lìonadh ach an soirbhich leis an oidhche?

Chaidh am prògram seo, Bean a' Mhinisteir, a chraoladh an toiseach ann an 2014.

Raising money for charity

[Presenter] Mairi is chairperson of a charity which gives advice on pregnancy issues. To raise money and the service’s profile she has been arranging a big dinner in a school in Invergordon.

[Presenter] It is taking place tonight and Mairi must hurry.

[Mairi] I am in a rush. I think that I am meant to be down there by now but I’m somewhat behind with everything that’s happening. We were at the local Mòd here today and just since I came home I am in a rush. I now have everything ready. My cheesecake. I am trying to count the things I was meant to take with me and cream and kiwi fruits, After Eights and cheesecake. And I am going to take with me a tray or two for the baking that was left from last night. And I think that that will be it. I hope that there will be enough to eat anyway! Isn’t there now, Morag? Come along!

[Presenter] Mairi’s friend, Morag, a minister’s wife from Dòrnoch is helping her with the stuff.

[Mairi] Alasdair, do you have the car key?

[Alasdair] Yes.

[Mairi] Go on, open it for me then.

[Alasdair] Is everything safe?

[Mairi] Well Morag will keep the cheesecake on her lap.

[Alasdair] And the cream.

[Mairi] And aye the cream and all. Look, I was meant to be there at half past six. They are getting used to me now. I am always a little bit behind. My life just now is going at a hundren miles an hour! Did I go past Invergordon? Now, oh is that the road? Did I go past it? Now, where are we going friends? Is that the town centre? I wonder if it is up here that I am going? No, I don’t think. I will go round. Just in case. I will have to ask someone! You wait there and you can help me with taking things in! I am late as usual. Here, there is two tubs of that somewhere. Where is Morag? Come with the cheesecake.

[Presenter] At the school the committee women are busy heating tonight’s food. But Màiri has forgotten to write the host’s speech for her.

[Presenter] The hall is filling but will the night be a success?

This programme, Bean a' Mhinisteir, was first broadcast in 2014.
