[Angela NicIlleathain – Preseantair] Thòisich panto Gàidhlig na bliadhna-sa air a chuairt timcheall nan sgoiltean an-diugh. Tadhlaidh "Marsaili agus a' Bhleideag Airgid" air 17 sgoiltean uile gu lèir. Agus bidh cothrom aig a' mhòr-shluagh fhaicinn cuideachd - sin anns na h-Ironworks ann an Inbhir Nis. Chaidh Dòmhnall Moireasdan gam faicinn a' dèanamh an deasachaidh mu dheireadh.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] ghlèidheas co-fharpais seinn na Bleideag Airgid? Sin a’ cheist mhòr. Rug mi air a’ chuideachd aig Fèisean nan Gàidheal, ‘s iad an sàs anns an deasachadh mu dheireadh, fo stiùir a’ chleasaiche ainmeil Daibhidh Walker.

[Aonghas MacCoinnich] Tha sin a’ cur ris an sgriobt, ris an sgeulachd gach latha oir tha sinn a’ cur rudan ùra ris agus rudan èibhinn ris gach latha ‘s tha Daibhidh air a bhith gu math cuideachail a thaobh sin oir ‘s e duine èibhinn a th’ ann.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Tha Daibhidh a’ cumail sùil gheur air a’ phanto, ged a tha e ag ràdh nach e buileach panto a th’ ann ach dealbh-chluiche Nollaig.

[Daibhidh Walker] Uill tha mi creidsinn gu bheil blas panto air ach cuideachd ‘s e sgeulachd Nollaig a th’ann agus a’ toirt a-staigh tha mi creidsinn iomadach car sgeulachd a thaobh Cinderella agus ‘s i nighean òg a th’ innte. A’ Bhleideag Airgid, tha i airson seo a bhuannachadh agus chan eil ‘s dòcha misneachd gu leòr aice airson a dhol a-mach agus seinn ach chan eil mi airson tuilleadh sa chòrr a thoirt seachad.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] ‘S iomadh dùbhlan a tha an cois a bhith nad rionnag ann am panto.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] A bharrachd air Aonghais MacLeòid, ‘s e na cleasaichean eile Iain Beggs, Catriona NicNeacail agus Ellen NicDhòmhnaill, aig a bheil na h-uimhir a dh’ eòlas air panto roimhe.

[Ellen NicDhòmhnaill] An fheadhainn anns a bheil mi air a bhith an sàs mar, Snow White no Cinderella no mar sin agus tha am fear seo math air sgàth chaidh a sgrìobhadh, ‘s e panto ùr a th’ ann. Chaidh a sgrìobhadh le cuideigin agus chaidh a sgrìobhadh ann an Gàidhlig cuideachd. Tha e math a bhith an sàs ann an rudeigin a tha gu tur ann an Gàidhlig.

[Catriona NicNeacail] Tha e air a bhith spòrsail agus cruaidh aig an aon àm. Aidh tha sinn air tòrr ullachadh a dhèanamh agus tha sinn ag obair gu cruaidh. Uill tha mi’n dòchas. Tha sinn a’ feuchainn.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] An dèidh dhaibh tadhal air 17 sgoiltean, gheibh mòr-shluagh an Inbhir Nis an cothrom am faicinn anns an Iron Works air an 10mh dhen Dùbhlachd. Dòmhnall Moireasdan, BBC An Là.

[Angela MacLean – Presenter] This year’s Gaelic panto began its tour around the schools today. “Marsaili and the Silver Snowflake” will visit 17 schools in total and the public will get an opportunity to see it too – that’s in the Ironworks in Inverness. Donald Morrison went to see them as they were doing their final rehearsals.

[Donald Morrison – Reporter] Who will win the Silver Snowflake singing contest? That’s the big question. I caught up with them at Fèisean nan Gàidheal as they were making their final preparations under the guidance of well-known actor David Walker.

[Angus MacKenzie] We’re adding to the script and to the story each day as we put new things and funny things in. David has been really helpful with regards to that as he’s a funny guy.

[Donald Morrison – Reporter] David is keeping a watchful eye on the panto, although he says it’s not quite a panto but more a Christmas play.

[David Walker] Well I believe it has an essence of panto about it but it’s also a Christmas story that I believe touches on other stories such as Cinderella as she’s a young girl. The Silver Snowflake, she wants to win this but she perhaps doesn’t have enough confidence to go out there and sing. But I don’t want to give away too much more.

[Donald Morrison – Reporter] Many’s a challenge thats involved in being a panto star.

[Donald Morrison – Reporter] As well as Angus MacLeod, the other actors are Iain Beggs, Catriona Nicolson and Ellen MacDonald, who has plenty experience of pantos.

[Ellen MacDonald] The ones I’ve been involved in have been ones such as Snow White or Cinderella and this one if good because it’s been written especially, it’s a new panto. It was written especially by somebody and in Gaelic too. It’s good to be involved in something that is completely in Gaelic.

[Catriona Nicolson] It’s been fun but tough at the same time. Aye we’ve done a lot of preparation and we’re working hard. Well I hope so, we’re trying!

[Donald Morrison – Reporter] After they visit 17 schools, the Inverness public will get a chance to see them in the Ironworks on the 10th December. Donald Morrison, BBC An Là.
