Plana-leasachaidh ionadail Pàirc Nàiseanta a’ Mhonaidh Ruaidh

[Iain MacAonghais – Preseantair] Nise, bhon ath sheachdain, thèid iarraidh air a’ phoball am beachdan a thoirt seachad, mu phlana-leasachaidh ionadail Pàirc Nàiseanta a’ Mhonaidh Ruaidh. A-rèir na pàirce, tha am plana ag amas air coimhearsnachdan a dhèanamh nas seasmhaiche anns an sgìre le bhith a’ togail thaighean ùra agus le bhith a’ toirt leasachadh air seirbheisean, leithid a’ bhann—leathann. Seo Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan le tuilleadh.

[Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Tòisichidh an co-chomhairleachadh mu phlana-leasachaidh ionadail Pàirc Nàiseanta a’ Mhonaidh Ruaidh Diluain sa tighinn. Tha am plana a’ coimhead air mar bu chòir bun-structair agus seirbheisean anns an sgìre a leasachadh anns na còig bliadhna a tha air thoiseach.

[Eleanor Matheson] We’re putting out the local development plan to consultation to allow communities, developers, land-managers anybody out there to have a chance to comment on it.

[Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Chan eil am plana air a bhith às aonais connspaid ged-tà. Tha luchd-iomairt anns an sgìre air a bhith a’ cur an aghaidh nam planaichean airson taigheadas aig prìsean reusanta a thogail ‘s tha iad ag ràdh gun dèanadh e cron air àrainneachd na pàirce. Chan eil ùghdarras na pàirce ag aontachadh leis an sin, ged-tà, ‘s a tha iad ag ràdh gum feum an sgìre taighean aig prìsean reusanta. ‘S a tha iad an dòchas sin a dhèanamh ann an dòigh freagarrach.

[Eleanor Matheson] They want the right development in the right place. They don’t want housing development stuck on to the edge of their villages. They want it all to be, you know, part of, their existing culture and that’s what we’re striving to achieve with this local development plan.

[Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Agus a-rèir choltais tha iad an dòchas seirbheisean leithid a’ bhann-leathann sa sgìre a leasachadh cuideachd.

[Eleanor Matheson] It would support a much better economy, I think, if there was more home-working. But before that can be achieved, there's got to be huge improvements in broadband cover and mobile phone cover, which is, at best, patchy throughout the park. I know there’s a lot of investment coming in for broadband, but it’s to ensure that these little glens are not forgotten about.

[Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Tha a’ Phàirc air a bhith ag obair le buidhnean glèidhteachais gus feuchainn ri bhith dèanamh cinnteach nach dèanadh am plana cron air an àrainneachd no beathaichean sa sgìre.

[Emily Edwards] Tha sinne air a bhith an—sàs anns a' phlana seo bhon a’ chiad dol a-mach agus tha sinn gu math toilichte leis mar a tha gnothaichean a’ dol. Tha na figearan seo, tha iad a’ dèanamh ciall fhad ‘s a bhios na leasachaidhean a’ dol air adhart ann an àiteigin a tha gu bhith freagarrach.

[Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Mairidh an co-chomhairleachadh ‘s urrainnear fhaicinn air an làraich-lìn aig a’ phàirc nàiseanta chun chòigeamh latha dhen Iuchar. Dòmhnall Angie Moireasdan. BBC An Là.

Local development plan of The Cairngorms National Park

[Iain MacInnes – Presenter] Now, from next week, there will be a call for the public to give their views about a local development plan in the Cairngorms National Park. According to the park, the plan aims to make the communities more settled in the area by building new houses and developing services, like broadband. Here’s Donald Angie Morrison.

[Donald Angie Morrison – Reporter] The consultation about the Cairngorms National Park local development plan will begin next Monday. The plan is looking at how infrastructure and services in the area should be developed in the five years to come.

[Eleanor Matheson] We’re putting out the local development plan to consultation to allow communities, developers, land-owners anybody out there to have a chance to comment on it.

[Donald Angie Morrison – Reporter] The plan has not been without controversy, though. Campaigners in the area have opposed plans for affordable housing to be built as they say that it will harm the environment of the area. The park’s trust does not agree with that, though and they say that the area must have affordable houses. And they hope to do that in a fitting way.

[Eleanor Matheson] They want the right development in the right place. They don’t want housing development stuck on the edge of the villages. They want it all to be part of, you know, the existing culture and that’s what we’re striving to achieve with this local development plan.

[Donald Angie Morrison – Reporter] And seemingly the hope to develop the services like the area’s broadband.

[Eleanor Matheson] It would support a much better economy, I think, if there was more home-working. But before that can be achieved, there has got to be huge improvements in broadband cover and mobile phone cover, which is, at best, patchy throughout the park. I know there’s a lot of investment coming in for broadband, but it’s to ensure that these little glens are not forgotten about.

[Donald Angie Morrison – Reporter] The Park have been working with conservation groups to try and ensure that the plan will not harm the environment or animals of the area.

[Emily Edwards] We have been involved with this from the outset and we are very happy with how things are going. These figures, they make sense if the developments go ahead in the areas are fit.

[Donald Angie Morrison – Reporter] The consultation will be found on the National Park’s website until the Fifth of July. Donald Angie Morrison. BBC An Là.
